so, here's the thing...

Hi, my name is Kendra and I'm an addict. I have decided I am addicted to blogging. I already knew I am addicted to design. I am coming to terms with being addicted to rearranging my house. I don't want to admit that I am addicted to organizing every morsel in my house.  My name is Kendra and I am an addict.  I figured I would give you guys a little glimpse into my life for a minute. I showed you a peek into my home but I never really told you much about my style or what really gets me. If you know anything about me at all, I am a huge fan of lists. HUGE. My whole life is lists. Lists about what to do when the To Do list is done. Honey Do lists.  Lists about what lists to make.    So on and so forth - you get the picture.. I thought it would be fun to get to know me through lists:) ( It would have been more effective if I could have made them in columns but of course I'm new to this blogging thing and that didn't work out for me so please ...

i can't even right now

WARNING: I get a little weird/giddy when I get around fabric. It just makes me so happy the things it makes me feel inside! Okay, forget I said that... The other day my 15 year brother and I were strolling through JoAnn Fabrics looking for new material for the dining room chairs. I really had no idea what I was going to get - my aunt had just texted me and asked if I was working - she wanted to go to JoAnn's today. I said "Great, I'll be there in 20 minutes." What was I thinking? I didn't have any idea what I really needed! I didn't even know how many dining room chairs I had. I actually didn't even know the color scheme I was going to go with...  Actually that's the best way to do it with me - thank goodness I did because I came back with the most beautiful material ever (to me at least)!  Of course the photo doesn't do it justice..  The best part is my little brother was a part in helping me pick these out too:) He was so cute and act...

i have many obsessions...

When I'm not picking out paint colors or fabric swatches, I'm sanding down old furniture in the driveway. I am either redoing furniture for myself or others to sell at Vintage 202 (check me out on Facebook please!)  I do light upholstery, staining or painting of vintage pieces. I love to think of all the many different ways a piece can go - different colors, stains, and/or fabrics. It's so rewarding when I have a piece go home to a happy client:) This was sort of a spontaneous thing for my aunt and I to do this weekend and I'm so happy we decided to do it!  Here is the before: This vintage cabinet was going to be great for the office but then I changed my mind and moved it to the dining room, because that's what I do - constantly change my mind.  The two bottom drawers are file drawers and it has plenty of extra storage for extra supplies - because we all know I looooove office supplies.   Here is the finis...

every princess deserves a crown

I am only posting this because I am super excited about having the crown molding installed in the main living space today! We have been waiting since June for this to be done - so bare with me as I jump with joy about wood:)  So I would like to warn you that in no way are these rooms completed. Although, I'm sure you can probably tell from the photos... Let's just call them "durings". the dining | before I mean who wouldn't want to serve Thanksgiving dinner in a dining room this color? Please take note in the ugly pea green color of the heat registers also, please! of course we kept this adorable oil lamp light:)   the living | before  This was awful to take down. Just awful!  My glorious bay window!   the dining | during  Long story short: we (and by we, I mean my husband and his sisters boyfriend) tore down the entire ceiling in the dining, living and foyer because there...
