so, here's the thing...

Hi, my name is Kendra and I'm an addict.

I have decided I am addicted to blogging.
I already knew I am addicted to design.
I am coming to terms with being addicted to rearranging my house.
I don't want to admit that I am addicted to organizing every morsel in my house.

I figured I would give you guys a little glimpse into my life for a minute. I showed you a peek into my home but I never really told you much about my style or what really gets me. If you know anything about me at all, I am a huge fan of lists. HUGE. My whole life is lists. Lists about what to do when the To Do list is done. Honey Do lists. Lists about what lists to make. So on and so forth - you get the picture.. I thought it would be fun to get to know me through lists:) ( It would have been more effective if I could have made them in columns but of course I'm new to this blogging thing and that didn't work out for me so please use your imagination)

obsessions:
white chocolate mochas (no whip) - preferably made by Darren from Starbucks
fresh manicures - on both, myself and others
all things gold - anything and everything
grey - all 50 shades of it..
when a room comes together - finally!
clean car - windshield included
peonies
pretty little liars - but then again what adult woman isn't?
sleeping in
being organized.. ugh
reciting every word from Never Been Kissed - A. Lib is my home girl on this ;)

objections:
"new" furniture
cats - although I have many amazing friends who love cats :/
selfies - within reason
allergies - this year especially
Chiberia- i.e. winter..
repurposed/upcycled furniture - sorry friends - a door is a door
having to be organized..

I will leave it there for now - I don't want to be "that girl" with the bigger hate list!

I also thought it would be fun to do something a little different and post a totally random topic at the end of each blog. Whether it be house related, a funny joke, something that happened to me early in the week, something I forgot to mention in a previous post, whatever. It works out because I have ADD..

(I always like in serious tv/movie scenes they would say "side bar, now!" when they are upset with someone and I always wanted to say that. Now is my time)

As a kid my favorite colors were purple and green. I was starting to like green more but I didn't want to hurt purple's feelings.. I do not care about the feelings of pigment anymore..

Whoa! | Bathroom REupdate

Well it's been pretty damn long since I've given you guys any good stuff lately. I failed miserably at the OCD challenge last year and for that I am sorry. BUT we are back in action and we have decided to stick with working on one room at a time but not necessarily finish in a month's time. This really allows us to focus on one space and pay attention to every detail and really perfect it. The first project of the year was the main bathroom. You may be saying "Hey, didn't she already do that one?" . Yes. Yes we did. I am a perfectionist and I knew it needed to be done again. I wasn't happy with the wall color and there were too many unfinished projects in the space. It was somewhat embarrassing when we had guests over and it looked like a Sundance film production office (whatever that looks like, I just made that up) exploded in there. The other day my aunt and I were pulling of the driveway about to do some shopping and someone had pulled off onto the side of the road. He waved us down and asked if I owned the house - it feels so good to say "Yes", although I'm a horrible liar and should have said "I will in 20-30 years." He informed us that he wasn't a creep [which made me think he might just be a creep - just kidding!] and that he lived in the house two owners ago [from 1993-2001-ish]. He said he was unpacking some boxes and came across something he thought should stay with the house and thought I may like it. He saw that we were doing a lot on the house and thought we were doing a really good job - well duh. He pulled out two nicely framed photos: This is the original home owner! Can you even right now? This was taken over 100 years ago, guys! I zoomed in so we could go into greater detail. 1. There's a hammock on the porch - I love hammocks!...

Today is the debut for my Friday Fancys post! Every Friday I want to do a fun post about "Whatever suits my Fancy"! Things that make me happy that I want to talk about that week - anything.
