the day we met Nicole Curtis!

Yesterday was a big day for us! Spontaneity kicked in and we decided to make the long 4.5 hour trek up to the Dirty D to see our rehab guru, Nicole Curtis! A few days ago I was scrolling through my FaceBook newsfeed and came across a post from Nicole: Okay!!! It's finally here!!! This Sunday -June 14th-the one and only Open House for 571 East Grand Blvd in Detroit.... Posted by Nicole Curtis on Thursday, June 11, 2015 if you don't remember my feelings on Nicole Curtis, please refer back to this post   I almost couldn't believe it. I read this out loud, as if I were reading to a 5 year old, to my husband - to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Then reality came to and I realized "There is no way we can go to Detroit on this short of notice, no way at all". Paint new desk for office Paint new dresser purchased for Vintage 202 Organize studio space above garage Get office back into working order The list really goes on and on...  BUT, I accomplished at least a part of each of the things on the list:) I have been overwhelmed with all the work that needs to be done in the yard that I have decided to take a hiatus for the week. Best decision this year - I got so much accomplished!  Since purchasing a new computer I really wanted to ma...

operation : organize

Husbie informed me that last weeks post title is called "click bait".. Hey, at least it worked!  Our grass is continuing to grow and we are so happy about it:) We still have a ton of yard work left to do though.. I am offering steak and beer to anyone who comes to lend a hand! Anyone?? As things grow on the outside, I am doing a few organizing projects of my own on the inside. One thing that I have been wanting to do is condense our DVD collection. We have gone through and weeded out multiple times and we still have over 100 DVDs...  Here is our collection at its prime Doesn't look like much does it? Well think of it double deep.  At first I thought it would be a great idea to alphabetize them.. For someone who can't make up their mind on how they like their furniture, this is not the best idea. I was constantly moving them and making sure they stayed in order. It also didn't help that we moved about 5 times with...
