And onto more current events..

It's 2015 people!

Today is full of firsts over here at the two | two | one!

First snow of the year.
First Sunday of the year.
First 4th of the year.
Fourth time I had bacon this year.

You get the point. It's a new year. New memories. New opportunities. New goals.  New bacon tally.

I am really excited to see what 2015 has in store for us & can't wait for more firsts :)

The thing I get most excited about turning over a new year is a new planner. I love the crisp white pages that haven't been touched by anyone but me. I love that I get to be the first person to write it in. I love that there are no rules to how you write in it. I love being organized. For the first two and a half months of the year at least. I tend to get bored and end up not using it for the rest of the year for some reason. BUT that will be different this year!

This year I did a lot of research and I decided to get the Day Designer by Whitney English. She designed her planner to keep more organized and creative at the same time. Hopefully she sticks to her word:)
 You can find yours HERE

I ordered the special edition only available at Belle and Blush - it looks like they still may have some available!

Inside you can find some fun goodies :

+a two-page spread year-at-a-glance
-spaces are large enough to make little marks for birthdays and anniversaries and other important dates.

Here is the month view:
I had already scribbled all over my January so I gave you a view of fresh February:)

And here is the daily view!

I love that you have your "Today's Top Three" - it makes the day feel more manageable. There is also your meal planning - which I love. There's also a large section at the bottom of the page where you can "download" from the day. I'm not sure of the intended use for this section but I think this is where I will jot little ideas that pop into my head throughout the day that I ALWAYS forget.

So there you have it folks - my planner:)
I'm really hoping that this will keep me on a better path to an organized year this time around! If it doesn't, at least I will look stylish while trying to be organized:)

In the coming year I have some new goals and some really cools ideas that I hope I can execute over the next few weeks that I really think you guys are going to like!

My 2015 Goals

+ I have this challenge in my head that I need to get into words for your guys. I'll give you a little spoiler - if you've read my other blog OCD - Organize | Create | Design - it will sort of  tie in with that. I'm still fine tuning the details on the idea.

+ I've recently been asked if I set aside a certain day of the week to blog - very reasonable question, but of course my answer was "No".. Whomp. I may still be spontaneous with my blogging but I may bring some routine into two | two | one by incorporating my newly found love for alliterations:)

+ I would also like to get you guys more involved in what goes on here to and I've gotten some pretty good feed back - if you have some ideas of things you'd like to see - speak up about it and I'll see what I can do:)

We had a photoshoot here yesterday and although I can't really disclose why - I must say the sets looked amazing and the people in them looked really fancy as well too:)

Oh, and my bruises are pretty much healed if anyone cares..

Whoa! | Bathroom REupdate

Well it's been pretty damn long since I've given you guys any good stuff lately. I failed miserably at the OCD challenge last year and for that I am sorry. BUT we are back in action and we have decided to stick with working on one room at a time but not necessarily finish in a month's time. This really allows us to focus on one space and pay attention to every detail and really perfect it.  The first project of the year was the main bathroom. You may be saying "Hey, didn't she already do that one?" . Yes. Yes we did. I am a perfectionist and I knew it needed to be done again. I wasn't happy with the wall color and there were too many unfinished projects in the space. It was somewhat embarrassing when we had guests over and it looked like a Sundance film production office (whatever that looks like, I just made that up) exploded in there. I think it wasn't completed for so long because I was sort of scared to do some of the projects that needed to b...

in with the old | my best thrift finds

*as you read through this post, have  Thrift Shop by Ryan Lewis and Macklemore  [link attached] play in the background, as I did when I was posting this:)  My husband is - for lack of a better word - cheap. He means well, but it really puts a wrench in most of my design plans. This just makes me work ten times harder to find the best deal out there and still maintain the integrity of my design.  Where do you go for such deals you ask?  Goodwill, duh!  I'm obsessed. Luckily I can soothe my infatuations less than a mile from my house!  Of course I also take a stop into TJ Maxx that's right next door and Pot Belly's too, but that's a topic for another day..  I usually get to GW once a week and I can definitely tell when I haven't been in awhile. ...wow, it really is sounding like an addiction, huh? First, I scout out the furniture - usually I don't find anything because a) It's already been picked through or b) it's t...

our upstairs bath | total gut

This is probably to biggest demo project on the house. This is the yucky space previously known as "the bathroom". Yes, that is my husband in the reflection:) Apparently we forgot to get better "before" photos.. The dimensions of the room were 4x9--not even wide enough for a tub! So this was our first mission when planning out this tiny bath-make room for tub!  Here's a fun little fact: this is the only room in the house that I didn't step more than 2 feet in the doorway. That's how bad this space was!  Here's some fun demo that I luckily did not have to take part in any of it, not even clean up! This is the view coming from the front bedroom on the house. We also did some knocking down of walls and putting up of walls in this room. Luckily it was big enough and didn't take away too much space.  Little bro, pretending to help with the demo...  And this is the guy who was the muscle in all of this:)  ...
