friday fancys | currently;)

This week has been kinda crazy for me. It started out slow and then quickly escalated and came to a halt with migraine and then some weird things fell into my lap followed by many many work days - therefore, I am posting late this evening on friday fancys :(

This Friday Fancys I am going to hone in on all of the "currents" in my life.

Currently: my favorite scent

If I could have this scent all over my house all year round and not be judged - I would do it. All candles and wall flower scents are currently on sale at Bath and Body Works/White Barn.

Currently: New Reads

This chick is hysterical. The first book to the sequel is White Girl Problems and it is just as funny as this one. I've just recently gotten back into reading on my Kindle and I finished the first one in a few days and am about 67% through this one!

Currently: Watching

Every year around this time, The Real World puts out a new season with a new wild cast of 7 crazy people. I, for some reason, become obsessed with the drama and I'm completely entertained. Then I get into watching the Real World/Road Rules Challenge - I'm borderline getting too old for this. I've been really interested in the history of the cast and why they are so messed up so I've been doing some recreational research by watching past seasons of both shows:) I won't even mention the other juvenile shows that I cannot not watch anymore!

Currently: New Obsession | This weeks purchase:)

Hubs came home and surprised me with the Nest thermostat! We already have the coordinating smoke + carbon monoxide alarm - so this will fit in nicely to our Nest family:)

This thing is so beyond awesome! I can control everything from my phone - "Brrr, I'm freezing [on sofa]" *click* heat goes on. This is a great tool for lazy people like me.

I hope some of you share you "currents" with me or maybe you'll try some of mine! I'm still looking for your recommendations for topics for more friday fancys to come:)

Lately I have realized that our fur baby has about a trillion different nicknames that don't even come close to sounding like "Tiffany" in any way whatsoever. How many nicknames do you have for your pets and would you be embarrassed to say half of them in front of a non-family member? About 90% of Tiffy's names she would be embarrassed if we said them out loud in front of her friends, I'm sure.

Whoa! | Bathroom REupdate

Well it's been pretty damn long since I've given you guys any good stuff lately. I failed miserably at the OCD challenge last year and for that I am sorry. BUT we are back in action and we have decided to stick with working on one room at a time but not necessarily finish in a month's time. This really allows us to focus on one space and pay attention to every detail and really perfect it. The first project of the year was the main bathroom. You may be saying "Hey, didn't she already do that one?" . Yes. Yes we did. I am a perfectionist and I knew it needed to be done again. I wasn't happy with the wall color and there were too many unfinished projects in the space. It was somewhat embarrassing when we had guests over and it looked like a Sundance film production office (whatever that looks like, I just made that up) exploded in there. The other day my aunt and I were pulling of the driveway about to do some shopping and someone had pulled off onto the side of the road. He waved us down and asked if I owned the house - it feels so good to say "Yes", although I'm a horrible liar and should have said "I will in 20-30 years." He informed us that he wasn't a creep [which made me think he might just be a creep - just kidding!] and that he lived in the house two owners ago [from 1993-2001-ish]. He said he was unpacking some boxes and came across something he thought should stay with the house and thought I may like it. He saw that we were doing a lot on the house and thought we were doing a really good job - well duh. He pulled out two nicely framed photos: This is the original home owner! Can you even right now? This was taken over 100 years ago, guys! I zoomed in so we could go into greater detail. 1. There's a hammock on the porch - I love hammocks!...

Today is the debut for my Friday Fancys post! Every Friday I want to do a fun post about "Whatever suits my Fancy"! Things that make me happy that I want to talk about that week - anything.
